The Sober Social is a fully alcohol-free cocktail and kava bar in Atlanta's Castleberry Hill neighborhood, tucked inside the Koncept House Lofts. Founded by writer and wellness advocate Aja Wolfe in January 2023 — growing out of the "Sober Sundays" gatherings she hosted at home — it is a Black woman-owned, speakeasy-style lounge built entirely around zero-proof drinking. The menu spans handcrafted mocktails made with gin, tequila and bourbon "alternatives," non-alcoholic beer and wine, coffee, kava, herbal and adaptogen elixirs, and hemp-derived Delta-8 "canna cocktails." Signature pours include the Socialite (hibiscus, lime, agave), The Loner (gin alternative, blueberries, lemon), Social Butterfly (passion-fruit lemon drop) and Social Live Wire, an NA espresso-martini-style drink with a Kentucky 74 bourbon alternative. Optional nootropic and adaptogen add-ins are available on request.
