NA Bar Finder

About

NA Bar Finder was built by a sober founder who got tired of searching for “non-alcoholic bar near me” and finding nothing useful. Reviews never mentioned NA options. Bar websites buried them. And calling ahead got you a confused host reading off the back of a menu.

The fix was not another list of bars. It was the menu itself: what a place actually pours, what it charges, and whether that is still true. So that is what we keep. Today that means 1,516 human-verified venues across 70 cities, 2,518 drinks read directly from 508 of those venues' own published menus, and a date on every one of them.

This is not a recovery app. It is not a sobriety tracker. There are no streaks, no check-ins, no coaching. It is a guide to places that take non-alcoholic drinks seriously, for anyone who is sober, sober-curious, pregnant, on medication, driving, or simply not drinking tonight.

How we research venues

Every venue here is human-verified: added one at a time, never imported in bulk. Each is researched through its own published menu, recent customer reviews, local press and city guides, and community submissions, then edited by a person who writes the listing and assigns its NA Program Strength rating. A venue also has to be confirmed open and operating before it appears — a closed bar on a list is worse than no list.

We can't visit every bar personally. That is why each venue carries a verification date and why we always recommend confirming with the venue before traveling for a specific drink, brand, or program.

What's on the menu, and why you can trust it

When a venue page lists drinks, those drinks come from the venue's own published menu and nowhere else — not from reviews, not from round-ups, and never from memory. Each item is copied word for word, with its price only where the menu prints one. Our checks keep an item only when it can be matched exactly to that menu, and discard anything that cannot be; a person reviews whatever the checks flag. The result is a standard most guides cannot meet: the venue is human-verified, the menu is the venue's own, and nothing on it is inferred, paraphrased, or invented.

Menus change, so we re-read them. Every listed menu is checked against the venue's website on a rolling weekly cycle and re-dated when it still matches. A menu we can no longer confirm is not quietly left up as current: after six months it labels itself with the month it was last confirmed, and we ask visitors who have been recently to tell us what changed.

How NA Program Strength is rated

Our NA Program Strength rating (1 to 5) is an editorial assessment based on publicly available menu information. It reflects how seriously a venue takes its non-alcoholic offerings. Venues rated 5 are dedicated NA establishments. Venues rated 3 have meaningful options but are not NA-focused.

  • 5: Dedicated NA bar or bottle shop (entire menu is non-alcoholic)
  • 4: Extensive NA menu (four or more crafted NA cocktails, not just soda and juice)
  • 3: Has NA options (one to three mocktails or NA beers available)
  • 2: Limited (will make basic mocktails on request)
  • 1: Minimal (soda and juice only)

These ratings are not user reviews. They are our judgment based on what a venue publishes about its menu.

Open data

Because the underlying data is real, we publish it. The City Index ranks cities by the depth of their non-alcoholic scene, and the Mocktail Price Index reports what a zero-proof cocktail actually costs in 37 cities, from prices printed on menus. Both are free to download and reuse with attribution (CC BY 4.0), and both are regenerated from the same records the site itself renders, so they cannot drift from what you see here. Developers and researchers can also read the full dataset through our open API.

Data sources & credits

Our city search returns two kinds of results. Venues marked verified are editorially researched and rated by us. Results marked brand-listed are pulled live, in your browser, from non-alcoholic brands' own public store locators (Athletic Brewing, Best Day Brewing, De Soi, Three Spirit, and Ritual Zero Proof) and filtered to bars and restaurants — these are not independently verified.

U.S. city autocomplete uses an open dataset from kelvins/US-Cities-Database (CC BY 4.0), with population figures from public datasets and place lookup by OpenStreetMap Nominatim.

For brands & partnerships

Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the brands a venue carries, or that a brand's own store locator returns. A listing or mention on this site is not an endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership unless we explicitly say so — we are independent and not affiliated with any brand we list.

NA Bar Finder is reader-supported and free to use. Some brand links may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never affect which venues we list or how we rate them.

Make a non-alcoholic brand and want to correct how your product is listed, or explore working together? Email partnerships@nabarfinder.com — a real person reads it, and we reply personally.
