What a mocktail costs, city by city
The median zero-proof cocktail on a US bar menu is $10 — from 392 prices printed on the menus of 110 verified venues in 48 cities. Not a survey, not an estimate: the number each bar publishes, read off its own menu and dated.

How to read this
- Mocktails only. Non-alcoholic beer, wine and spirits are priced very differently and are kept out of this index; they are in the item-level download.
- Only printed prices. A bar whose menu lists drinks without prices is simply absent — nothing is inferred from a neighbor or a “typical” figure.
- Small samples are excluded. 8 priced items is the floor for a city to appear; the “priced mocktails” column tells you how much weight to give each row.
- Re-derived continuously. Menus are re-checked on a rolling basis; a price we can no longer confirm ages out of the page after six months rather than lingering.

Across 392 zero-proof cocktails with a published price on US bar menus, the median is $10 and the mean is $10.75. That is the price bars actually print, not a survey estimate.
Of the 15 US cities with at least 8 priced mocktails on verified menus, Seattle has the highest median at $14; Minneapolis has the lowest at $6.99.
A zero-proof cocktail takes the same bartender time and the same house-made syrups, juices and garnishes as the alcoholic version, and the non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs many bars build them on retail at spirit prices. Bars with a dedicated NA program tend to price accordingly; the cheaper end of this index is mostly bars offering a few simple builds.
Every price is copied verbatim from the venue's own published menu and carries the date we last confirmed that menu. Prices we could not read (image-only menus, unlabeled numbers) are left out rather than guessed. A city is listed only with at least 8 priced mocktails in a single currency. The data is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link to this page.
