Best Non-Alcoholic Bars in Chattanooga, TN
Chattanooga is the rare small metro with three genuinely alcohol-free rooms rather than one, and they cover different parts of the day. 330 Main on the Southside is a non-alcoholic bar and coffee house run by a husband-and-wife team, pouring cocktails and shots built on kava extract instead of spirits and yaupon tea on draft; its co-owner makes Kavanooga, a kava tincture developed locally. Plant Bar on Manufacturers Road runs specialty coffee, Chinese and herbal teas, boba and zero-proof cocktails from 8am to 11pm. Chattanooga Culture is a fermentation lab with a kombucha and kava lounge attached. On the licensed side the writing is unusually good: The Rosecomb on the North Shore prints a whole mocktail menu named after Southern authors — a Grady Hendrix of holy basil, cucumber, lime, serrano and agave — while Matilda Midnight names its drinks after tarot cards and Wooden City carries five zero-proof builds including a Fizz of berries, coconut cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and soda. No Hard Feelings pours Seedlip Garden 108 into a Blackberry Basil Gimlet, and Oddstory's Greenhouse stocks alcohol-free beer, sparkling "wine", kombucha and cider side by side.

330 Main
Southside
330 Main is a non-alcoholic bar and coffee house on East Main Street in Chattanooga's Southside, owned and run by a husband-and-wife team, and it introduced the city to kava cocktails. The drinks list is built on kava extract in place of alcohol — cocktails and shots rather than the ceremonial shell-and-bowl service most kava bars offer — alongside yaupon tea carbonated and poured on draft, plus rotating house creations. The female owner's Filipino heritage shapes the food and drink; her partner came up through craft coffee, craft beer, cannabis and hospitality across the Southeast, and created Kavanooga, a kava tincture developed locally. Guests may bring in food from neighbouring businesses.
Plant Bar
North Shore
Plant Bar is a specialty coffee, tea and zero-proof bar on Manufacturers Road on the North Shore, the Chattanooga half of a two-city operation that also runs in Asheville. It serves artisanal coffee, traditional Chinese and herbal teas, boba, cacao and a zero-proof cocktail list, with locally made pastries alongside, and it describes itself plainly as a non-alcoholic venue rather than a café that happens to lack a licence. Oat, almond, coconut, soy and whole milk are all included at no extra charge, and decaf espresso is offered on every drink. It is open from 8am to 10pm most days and to 11pm Thursday through Saturday.
Chattanooga Culture
Ridgedale
Chattanooga Culture is a fermentation lab on Vance Avenue with a kombucha and kava lounge attached, established in 2022 as a holistic wellness-led food and beverage company. It brews its own kombucha locally and works across cultured foods more broadly, serving that alongside kava and handcrafted mocktails in a small lounge space, and it sells at the Main Street Farmers Market as well. Nothing it pours contains alcohol. The lounge keeps limited but genuinely social hours — noon to 6pm on Thursday and noon to 10pm on Friday and Saturday — and programmes events including sound baths in the room.
The Rosecomb
North Shore
The Rosecomb is a North Shore cocktail bar on Barton Avenue with the best-written alcohol-free list in Chattanooga: an entire mocktail menu, rotated regularly, with the current lineup named after Southern authors. The Grady Hendrix is built on holy basil, cucumber, lime, serrano and agave; The Natasha runs hibiscus and Bengal spice tea with ginger, pineapple and lime; and a mulled apple cider covers the colder months. That the mocktails get their own naming conceit, rather than being tacked onto the bottom of the cocktail card, is the tell — someone rewrites this list every time the theme changes. Open daily from 4pm, to midnight and 1am at weekends.
Matilda Midnight
Downtown
Matilda Midnight is a downtown Chattanooga cocktail lounge on East 10th Street whose drinks are named after tarot cards, a conceit that runs through the alcohol-free options as well as the spirited ones. The house mocktail is the Abundance — coconut water, house cream, pineapple, lime, lavender syrup and soda — a rich, layered build that uses a made-in-house cream rather than a bought mixer, which is the difference between a drink and a soft drink. The room is dark, late and deliberately atmospheric, opening at 5pm Wednesday through Sunday and running to midnight, and closed Monday and Tuesday.
Wooden City
Downtown
Wooden City is a downtown Chattanooga restaurant on Broad Street serving wood-fired pizza and small plates, with a bar that carries five separate zero-proof drinks on the menu — the deepest printed alcohol-free list of any restaurant in the city. The one worth ordering is the Fizz, built on berries, coconut cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and soda, which uses warm baking spices and a fat to give an alcohol-free drink the weight most of them lack. It serves dinner seven nights a week from 4:30pm, running to 9:30pm and 10pm at weekends, with a daily happy hour from 4pm to 5:30pm.
No Hard Feelings
Downtown
No Hard Feelings is a late-night cocktail bar on Broad Street in downtown Chattanooga, open until 1am most nights and 2am from Thursday to Sunday — the latest hours of any venue in this guide. It stocks Seedlip Garden 108, the pea-and-hay non-alcoholic spirit, and uses it properly rather than as a novelty: the house Blackberry Basil Gimlet is built alcohol-free on Seedlip with blackberry syrup and lemon, so the alcohol-free version of the drink is the same drink rather than a different, lesser one. For anyone who wants to be out past midnight in Chattanooga without drinking, this is the address.
Oddstory Brewing Co.
Downtown
Oddstory Brewing Co. runs a taproom on Martin Luther King Boulevard in downtown Chattanooga, and its attached Greenhouse space is the most comprehensively stocked alcohol-free fridge in the city: non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, sparkling "wine", kombucha and cider, all available side by side rather than as a single token option. That breadth is the point — a brewery that carries five different categories of alcohol-free drink has thought about the fact that non-drinkers have preferences too, rather than assuming one NA lager covers everybody. Open from 4pm on weekdays and noon at weekends, running to 10pm.
Little Coyote
St. Elmo
Little Coyote is a smoked-barbecue restaurant in St. Elmo, at the foot of Lookout Mountain, from the team behind Main Street Meats and Easy Bistro — a MICHELIN Guide listing and one of the more serious kitchens in Chattanooga. Its bar offers zero-proof versions of the two drinks a barbecue room actually needs, a margarita and a paloma, both built rather than poured from a mix. In a format where the default alternative is sweet tea, having a proper sour and a proper citrus highball available without alcohol is more useful than a long mocktail list would be. Dinner from 4pm daily, with weekend lunch from 11:30am.
Civil Provisions and Bar
Signal Mountain
Civil Provisions and Bar is a neighbourhood diner and bar on Mississippi Avenue in Signal Mountain, the town on the ridge above Chattanooga, serving from 11am to 9pm seven days a week and from 10am on Sunday. Its alcohol-free entry is the Soli Swizzle, made with fresh lemon juice, pineapple and grapefruit juice, a seasonal shrub and bubbles — the seasonal shrub being the part that matters, since a house shrub rotates with what is available and gives the drink acidity and depth that straight juice cannot. It is the only venue in this guide outside the city proper, and the only all-day one.
Easy Bistro & Bar
West Village
Easy Bistro & Bar is a MICHELIN-listed French-leaning restaurant in Chattanooga's West Village, one of the city's long-standing fine-dining rooms and part of the group that also runs Main Street Meats and Little Coyote. Its alcohol-free option is the Sober Sunset — orange, grenadine, lemon and tonic water — an unfussy, bitter-edged long drink that works across a meal rather than only before it, which is the harder thing for a restaurant to get right. Dinner runs from 4pm seven nights a week, to 9pm midweek and 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
The Boneyard
Southside
The Boneyard is a late bar on Station Street in Chattanooga's Southside, open to 1am most nights and 2am on Friday and Saturday, in the short pedestrian block that concentrates most of the neighbourhood's nightlife. Its recommended alcohol-free drink is a non-alcoholic paloma built on grapefruit, lime and triple syrup, and the bar will make other mocktails on request. Combined with the late hours and its position a few doors from 330 Main, the fully alcohol-free kava bar, it makes the Southside the easiest part of the city to spend a whole evening in without drinking.
