Sober October FAQ
Sober October is the annual challenge of going alcohol-free for the month of October. It grew out of UK charity fundraising in the mid-2010s and spread worldwide through podcast and fitness culture — today roughly one in ten US adults takes part, and participation runs even higher among Gen Z. Like Dry January, it is a one-month reset: a chance to sleep better, feel sharper, and rethink your relationship with alcohol, with no commitment beyond the month.
