Wicked Rabbit is a downtown Omaha cocktail bar open 5pm to 2am every single day of the week, and it runs the most locally rooted alcohol-free list in the city. Its zero-proof drinks are built on Sandhills Elixir — a small-batch range of non-alcoholic spirits made in Valentine, Nebraska from native prairie botanicals and water drawn from the Ogallala Aquifer — in drinks including the Sandhills Spiced Sour, alongside a Sunset in Wonderland and a Blushing Cow. Using a Nebraska-made zero-proof spirit rather than an imported one is a genuine point of difference, and it means the non-alcoholic order is as regional as the whiskey list. Nite Owl is a cocktail bar in Omaha's Blackstone district, west of downtown, and its alcohol-free drinks are among the most interesting in the city. The Phony Negroni is exactly what the name promises — a bitter, red, stirred aperitif build rather than something sweet — and the switchel is a genuine piece of drinks history: a vinegar-and-ginger farm drink that predates soft drinks entirely and has the acidity and length that most mocktails lack. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm, to midnight midweek and 1am on Friday and Saturday, closed Monday. Blackstone is a short drive west of the Old Market and has its own run of bars and restaurants.

Anna's Place is a hidden bar tucked inside the Hotel Indigo on Dodge Street in downtown Omaha, small and intimate, with a cocktail-party atmosphere and a drinks list that treats zero-proof and alcoholic drinks as equals rather than as tiers. Its specialty mocktails are scratch-made, and the house build is the Rowena Moore — named for the Omaha civil-rights organiser and community leader, which places the alcohol-free drink in the bar's own naming scheme rather than in an annex. Mercury is a downtown Omaha cocktail bar on South 16th Street, and local drinks coverage credits it with the most extensive dedicated mocktail list in the city — dedicated being the operative word, meaning a standing section written as its own thing rather than a couple of substitutions offered on request. Fizzy's is Omaha's grown-up soda fountain, opened in March 2020 in the Little Bohemia district on South 13th Street: a retro room with vintage rotary phones at the booths for ordering, house-made sodas, mocktails, boozy milkshakes and diner food like a fried bologna sandwich. The soda-fountain premise is the point for a non-drinker — the house sodas are made in-house and are the signature product rather than the consolation, so ordering alcohol-free here means ordering the thing the bar is actually known for. One caveat: it is strictly 21-and-over despite the format, so it is not a family stop.
