Café Beermoth is the bar-and-café arm of Beermoth, the specialist beer business founded by Jeremy Stull and Scott Davies, who opened their first shop on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter in early 2013. Inspired by the beer cafés of the Low Countries, the venue has a modern, unfussy feel reminiscent of Belgium, built around the drink rather than a theme. Its official address is on Spring Gardens, though the public entrance is around the corner on Brown Street — and in January 2026 the original Beermoth bottle shop relocated here after almost 13 years on Tib Street. That June the café was crowned Central Manchester CAMRA's Pub of the Year 2026.

The beer line-up is serious: a house beer (Stone's Throw, brewed with Runaway) plus six rotating British cask ales on handpull and eleven keg lines running key-keg conditioned beers from breweries across the UK, including a dedicated Augustiner Helles tap that Beermoth was the first place in the UK to pour. Behind the bar sits a bottle-and-can list of more than 450 beers weighted towards Belgium, Germany and wild-fermented American brews, alongside cheese and charcuterie plates. It trades as a coffee bar by day and a beer café into the evening, and takes card only.

For alcohol-free drinkers the fridges are the real draw. Manchester Confidential singled the café out for stocking 'a whopping eight fresh options from dedicated non-alc brewery BRÜLO' — the Glasgow zero-alcohol specialist whose range here runs from the Lust For Life DDH IPA and King For A Day pale to a Cascadian Tides stout, a 5 Fruit Gose and a 7 Grain 7 Hop. That is a curated, rotating alcohol-free bank rather than a token can or two, and it sits alongside low-ABV imports such as Rothaus and Früh. Combined with the all-day coffee, it makes Beermoth one of the easiest places in central Manchester to spend an evening without alcohol.
