Danté sits in the middle of Northcote's buzzing High Street strip, fitted out in a dim, split-level Parisian-1930s aesthetic with an opulent, wall-lined cocktail bar. It trades as a modern-Greek restaurant and cocktail bar, and was named Luxury Cocktail Bar of the Year 2024 and Sustainable Restaurant of the Year (Melbourne) 2025. Co-owner Tas Pantotis frames the room around family food traditions and a sustainability ethos rather than pure spectacle.
The non-alcoholic program is unusually complete: rather than a token mocktail or two, every decadent cocktail on Danté's list is available in an alcohol-free version, with the spirit swapped for NA spirits, liqueurs and sparkling. Master cocktail architect Jacob will also invent something bespoke if none of the listed drinks appeal, so zero-proof guests get the full bar rather than a sidelined shortlist.
Popular alcohol-free builds documented by NoLo Life include the Blueberry Voir (house-made blueberry soda, lime juice, blue-pea butterfly tea syrup, egg white), Honey Ginger on Fire (smoked AF bourbon, honey syrup, ginger), Prince Pine (AF gin, pineapple juice, mint, lime, honey and ginger syrups) and the Chios Spritz (house-made AF mastiha, AF prosecco, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, soda). The house-made mastiha ties the zero-proof list back to the kitchen's Greek roots.
Danté is open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner plus a Sunday lunch service, and remains actively trading with strong recent reviews into 2026.
