Dōgon by Kwame Onwuachi is an Afro-Caribbean fine-dining restaurant inside the Salamander hotel (formerly the Mandarin Oriental) on the Southwest Waterfront, drawing on Nigerian, Jamaican, Trinidadian, and Creole traditions from the James Beard Award-winning, Top Chef alum behind New York's Tatiana. The restaurant's beverage program was developed with nationally known bartender Derek Brown — founder of Positive Damage, Inc. and a leading advocate for mindful drinking — and centers on a dedicated "Low & No" menu so each dish can be paired with either a full cocktail or a spirit-free one. Confirmed non-alcoholic drinks on the current menu include "Get Your Flowers" (Fluére Spiced Cane, lemon, lime, spiced pineapple syrup, grenadine, and cherry), the botanical "R_(n/a)_G&T" built on Fluére Botanical with Giffard Pamplemousse and Elderflower, tonic, and edible flowers, plus the "Astronomy Club" and "Sigi Tolo Rickey." The program leans on Black-owned and non-alcoholic brands and creative riffs on the classics rather than an afterthought soda list. Since opening in 2025, Dōgon was named among the best restaurants on the continent by World's 50 Best, The New York Times, and Bon Appétit. Time Out has called Onwuachi "a master of Afro-Caribbean flavors deserving of the fine-dining treatment." Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday, with reservations via Resy.
