Hi-Wire Brewing (Biltmore Village)

Hi-Wire Brewing's Biltmore Village site at 2A Huntsman Place is the company's 27,000-square-foot production brewery, opened in summer 2015 with a taproom attached. It is built for spending time in rather than passing through: vibrant murals inside and out, a large sun-shaded patio, free parking, and Guajiro Cuban Comfort Food permanently parked on site serving Cuban sandwiches and lechón asada, with outside food welcome too. It is pet-friendly and family-friendly, opening at 11am at weekends and from mid-afternoon on Mondays. Hi-Wire is a serious brewery by any measure — a World Beer Cup bronze in 2026 for its 10W-40 coconut candy bar stout, silvers in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and Great American Beer Festival golds in 2016, 2019 and 2021.

Two things need stating plainly. First, the geography: Helene destroyed a Hi-Wire facility in late September 2024, but that was the company's separate River Arts District site at 284 Lyman Street, which was submerged and took nearly eight months to reopen, celebrating its return on 24 May 2025. Co-founder Adam Charnack described it then as incredibly gratifying and, more than anything, great to feel somewhat normal again. That flood damage does not belong to this Biltmore Village taproom, which carries no closure notice. Second, and more important for readers here: this taproom lists its non-alcoholic and THC options together in a single sentence. Alongside non-alcoholic beer, a local nitro cold brew and local soda, it sells Hi-Wire's own Hi-Jinks THC-infused sparkling water, made in 2mg and 5mg doses in Original and Clementine flavours. That is alcohol-free but psychoactive, and the brewery's own page does not separate the two categories. If you are avoiding alcohol only, this is a comfortable room with plenty to do; if you are avoiding intoxicants generally, order by name and check what you are handed. The non-alcoholic beer is not named on the taproom's page, so ask what is pouring.
