5790 E Main St Suite 150, Carmel, IN 46033

Orangily began life as Loren's Alcohol-Free Beverages, opened in the summer of 2022 in Carmel by sisters Andrea Simpson and Kristin Patrick. Both were in their forties when they started it, and both had arrived at the same conclusion independently — that alcohol had stopped agreeing with them and that Indiana had nowhere to buy a decent alternative. At the time the nearest comparable shop was Generation NA in Lafayette, an hour up I-65. The Carmel store opened on East Main Street with a deliberately retail-first layout: shelves organised by category rather than by novelty, and a small tasting bar at the back so that customers could try a de-alcoholised Sauvignon Blanc or a zero-proof agave spirit before committing to a bottle.

The range now covers alcohol-removed red, white, rosé and sparkling wine, non-alcoholic beer, functional and cocktail spirits, ready-to-drink mocktails, kava drinks, bitters, mixers and syrups, with most of the catalogue low-sugar, gluten-free and vegan. The sisters rebranded the business to Orangily in 2025 to widen the framing beyond recovery — Kristin Patrick told Indianapolis Monthly that the customer base splits between people who want an alternative for one evening and people who have stopped drinking entirely, and the old name spoke mainly to the second group. A second Orangily opened in South Broad Ripple in March 2025. The Carmel shop also runs personalised delivery across the north side by text or email, which matters in a metro where the alcohol-free options are otherwise scattered across three counties. Practically, this is the shop to start at if you are new to the category and live north of the city. The staff will talk through which de-alcoholised wines actually resemble wine and which are closer to grape soda, which zero-proof spirits hold up in a spirit-forward build and which need a long mixer to work at all — the kind of triage that saves an expensive mistake. Hours are short and irregular by bar standards, opening at 10am on Monday, midday most other days and 11am on Friday, and closing at 6pm or 7pm, so it is an errand rather than an evening. Note also that the shop sells kava alongside the alcohol-free drinks; kava contains no alcohol but is psychoactive, and it is shelved separately from the wine and beer.

Like many of our clientele, we just found that we weren't bouncing back like we used to.
