SRV (short for "Serene Republic of Venice") is a Venetian-style bacaro and wine bar in Boston’s South End, opened in 2016 by chef-partners Michael Lombardi and Kevin O’Donnell as part of the Coda Restaurant Group (which also runs Coda, The Salty Pig, Gufo, and Baleia). The kitchen specializes in cicchetti (small bites), fresh pasta made from locally milled flour, and made-to-order risotto, paired with an all-Italian wine list. The bar maintains a dedicated "Zero & Low Proof" section that has grown alongside Coda’s group-wide non-alcoholic push, which bar director John Benevides told WBUR has seen NA demand jump roughly 300% in the past year to about 5% of all drink orders. Confirmed mocktails on the current menu include the Non-Groni (aperitif syrup, grapefruit, juniper), the Sirocco Spritz (oregano, yuzu, lemon, soda), and the Mule of Trieste (Lucano N/A amaro, vanilla, lime, ginger). The list also carries the St. Agrestis Phony White Negroni and a rotating range of NA wines (Wolffer "Spring in a Bottle," Wander + Found, Oddbird) and NA beers including Athletic Brewing’s "Free Wave," Deschutes Black Butte, and Delirium "Delirio." SRV has been recognized by Boston Magazine for its creative mocktails and is located at 569 Columbus Ave near the Massachusetts Avenue end of the South End. Open evenings Monday through Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
