138 St James Ave, Boston, MA 02116
OAK Long Bar + Kitchen sits inside the Fairmont Copley Plaza at 138 St James Avenue, a hotel bar in the grand sense, with a long marble counter running down one side of a room that opens onto Copley Square. It serves breakfast from 7am, lunch, dinner and a late bar every night to midnight, with last call for drinks at 11.45pm, and it is a common meeting point for people who work in the surrounding towers and stay in the hotel. That mix, plus the hours, is why it belongs in a directory like this: the situation it answers is the after-work drink in Back Bay where one person at the table is not drinking.
The non-alcoholic offering is honest rather than ambitious. The drinks list, published in its current form in May 2026, carries a section headed Spirit Free between the craft cocktails and the draft beer, with three drinks on it. Honey Badger is lemon, grapefruit, honey and ginger beer at $15. Super Fresh is white cranberry, lemon and soda at $14. Raspberry Fields is the one built on a non-alcoholic spirit, using Lyre's Italian Spritz with raspberry, basil, agave and lemon at $15. Two of the three are essentially high-quality long drinks rather than cocktail analogues, which is why this is graded as a real but modest programme rather than a serious one, but the section is printed, the drinks are named, and they are priced within a couple of dollars of the alcoholic list rather than being dumped at soda prices or, worse, left off the menu entirely. The draft list also leans local, with Aeronaut, Dorchester Brewing and Mighty Squirrel among the taps. Anyone wanting a deeper zero-proof list in the same neighborhood should look at Rochambeau on Boylston Street or Cafe Sauvage at the Massachusetts Avenue end, both of which build on non-alcoholic spirits across a longer menu. OAK's value is the hours and the position on Copley Square rather than the depth of the list.
