238 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80209
The Bardo Coffee House opened its South Broadway room at 238 South Broadway, one block north of Alameda, and has since grown to four Denver-area locations — SoBo, West 38th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, South Wadsworth, and a West Colfax store that opened in July 2026. The SoBo store is the one that anchors the brand's identity as "Denver's Late Night Coffee House": it trades from 6am to midnight, seven days a week, holidays included, on a stretch of Broadway otherwise given over to bars, music venues and record shops. Denver's official neighbourhood boundaries place 238 South Broadway in the Speer statistical neighbourhood, on the east side of Broadway; Bardo itself describes the address as being in the Baker neighbourhood, which is the commercial district name commonly used for this stretch of the SoBo strip.
Nothing on Bardo's menus contains alcohol, and the venue's own framing is about drink quality rather than abstinence: "Beyond the usual drinks you'd expect at an independent coffee house, we also offer some unique ones found only here." Those house drinks are genuinely house-made. The #17 Turmeric Latte is built on a blend of turmeric, ginger, coconut sugar, three types of pepper, vanilla bean and further spices; the Matcha Latte uses an all-natural in-house blend of matcha, brown sugar and coconut milk powder; and a variant called The Grinch adds pistachio and oat milk to the same matcha base. The dessert-leaning end of the list includes the Spumoni Mocha, which combines chocolate, cherry and pistachio with espresso, and the Cordial Cherry Latte, made with cherry, almond, half and half and espresso. Seasonal drinks include the Caramel Apple Jack, built from apple cider, heavy cream and caramel, and the Lumberjack, which pairs apple cider with Bhakti Chai and heavy cream. The store describes its aim modestly — "Working to be the best coffee house in the Denver area. Friendly & comfortable with locally sourced drink and food options" — and runs entirely on wind power.
