Athletic Brewing in Seattle, WA

Cheeky & Dry is Seattle's first and only fully alcohol-free bottle shop, a 750-square-foot family-owned store at 6120 Phinney Ave N opened in November 2023 by Kirstin and Yura Vracko. Kirstin started it after her husband went to rehab for alcohol use and she stopped drinking in solidarity with him, looking for products that would carry her through the ritual of a drink at night — she has said she built the shop she wished existed. Its own rule is absolute: every bottle is 0.5% ABV or less. The catalogue runs to roughly 250 products across non-alcoholic spirits (gin, whiskey, agave, aperitivo), wines still and sparkling, beers, ready-to-drink cocktails, mixers and bitters, with brands including Pathfinder, Three Spirit, Little Saints, Parch, Aplos, Free Spirits, Leilo and Opius. There is a counter for tasting samples before you buy. NOTE FOR ANYONE AVOIDING ALL INTOXICANTS: we checked the full catalogue and found no THC at all, but it does stock kava products, one kava-and-kratom elixir, and one CBD coffee at 25mg per serving.

Rosette is a small worker-owned bar and restaurant at 9262 57th Avenue S in Rainier Beach, opened in 2025 by members of the collective behind Jude's Old Town, Seattle's first worker-owned bar and restaurant, two doors down. It focuses on non-alcoholic cocktails, natural and biodynamic wine and small bites, and the room is petite — a rectangular space just under eleven feet wide. Worker-owner Mark Paschal's reason for building it is the clearest statement of the case we have found: for too long, people who don't drink alcohol have been treated as an afterthought in bar spaces, and at Rosette thoughtfully constructed non-alcoholic cocktails are meant to shine and offer a true bar experience without alcohol. The N/A Cocktails list is flat $15: In Bloom (Figlia Fiore, Lumette Bright Light, lemon, rose blossom, Woody's non-alcoholic sparkling), Minimal Intervention (DHOS vodka, lemon, strawberry-mint), Refined Prop Comic (Lumette LumRum, Ghia, lemon, orange-carrot) and Spirited Away (Free Spirits bourbon, Pathfinder, vermouth, bitters). PLEASE NOTE: a fifth, Pine for the Days, contains KAVA — a mildly sedative plant — under the same non-alcoholic heading. Happy hour 3–6pm; open Wednesday to Saturday.

Watershed Pub & Kitchen is a family-owned neighbourhood pub at 10104 3rd Ave NE in Northgate, opened in 2014 by Ben Curran, who wanted a pub for a district that had none and deliberately skipped the dark-bar-and-fried-food model for something family-friendly, fresh and local. Its non-alcoholic section is one of the more developed in Seattle: two zero-proof cocktails — The Honey Pot ($14, Empress 1908 0.0 indigo, lemon, honey) and the Kava Kalada ($8) — plus Best Day kölsch and west coast IPA at $7 each (both under 0.5% ABV) and house specialty drinks including a quinine cold brew ($9) and a peach-rosemary-thyme lemonade ($8). IMPORTANT: the Kava Kalada contains real kava, and the menu separately sells a Goldfinch ginger kava cocktail neat ($10) and an Ablis CBD drink ($9). All three are marked 21+ but carry no printed dosage. It is one of the most accessible venues we list: an ADA-accessible facility with limited-mobility drop-off from 3rd Ave NE, highchairs and boosters, a dog-friendly patio, free parking, and plant-based, gluten-free and alcohol-free options stated as standard.

Gemini Room is a women- and LGBTQIA+-owned, 1970s-inspired all-day café and bar at 1101 East Pike Street in Capitol Hill's Chophouse Row, opened in mid-December 2022 as the debut project of Tanner Mclaughlin and Jackie Proctor in partnership with Burgess/Hall. By day it does locally roasted espresso, coffee and tea lattes, breakfast staples and seasonal bowls and sandwiches; after dark it becomes, in the Infatuation's words, a party that can only really be described as groovy, with mod lounge furniture and 1970s glassware. Its mocktail list is one of the longest in Seattle — nine drinks under a "Mocktails" heading — and most are $8. The full list: a bottled St. Agrestis Phony Negroni ($12), Clear Sky Sour ($13, Pathfinder Hemp and Root, lemon, simple syrup, soda), Sparkling Citrus Soda, Ginger Basil Grapefruit Soda, Fancy Shirley (Toschi cherry syrup, lemon-lime soda), Ube Orange Cream Soda, Everyone Loves a Rickey (coconut cream, lime, soda), a Crodino Spritz and a Pathfinder Espresso Tonic. A separate non-alcoholic section adds Athletic Brewing, kombucha and Casamara Club botanical sodas. Open from 9am; closed Mondays.

Bait Shop is a kitschy tiki-and-tackle bar at 606 Broadway E on Capitol Hill, known for frozen cocktails and a room styled after a port town. It opened in 2012 under Linda Derschang, and Mike Leifur and Jonah Bergman — then working for her — bought it in 2016. STATUS, BECAUSE IT IS ON OUR WATCHLIST: the century-old building is slated for demolition and the owners have been looking for a new Capitol Hill home since their demolition clause was triggered; they "technically" lost the lease in December 2025. But no demolition permit has been filed for the address as of today, and Bergman has said construction is not expected before the first quarter of 2027 at the earliest. It is open and trading normally. Its printed non-alcoholic section runs Athletic Brewing Run Wild IPA and Upside Dawn ($6 each), a Phony Negroni and an Amaro Falso ($10 each), a Recess zero-proof margarita ($8), and soft drinks. NOTE: a Rogue CBD ($6) and a Recess Mood soda ($7) also sit under that same heading, with no dosage printed. Open 4pm–2am daily.
