Giffard in San Francisco, CA

Pacific Cocktail Haven, known as PCH, is a cocktail bar at 550 Sutter Street in Union Square, opened in 2016 by bartender Kevin Diedrich and rebuilt at its current address in March 2022 after a fire destroyed the original room. The menu is broken out by base spirit and carries a standing non-alcoholic section, and bartenders will build a spirit-free version of nearly anything else on the list. Named zero-proof pours include Raisin da Roof (Lyre's non-alcoholic gin and dry aperitif, raisin, orange, apple cider vinegar), Karl the POG (Seedlip Spice, house passionfruit-orange-guava, orgeat, citrus, ginger beer) and Cactus Makes Perfect (nopales water, jicama, sakura). PCH has won Best American Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and reached No. 16 on North America's 50 Best Bars in 2025.

Fiorella is a California-inflected Italian restaurant founded in 2015 by Boris Nemchenok and Brandon Gillis, who opened the original on Clement Street in the Richmond District before expanding to four San Francisco locations. The Inner Sunset branch at 1240 9th Ave serves wood-fired pizzas, house pastas, and seasonal Italian plates, plus a heated rooftop. Beyond the food, the Sunset location runs a genuine named non-alcoholic cocktail program: its official cocktail menu lists zero-proof drinks alongside the full bar, built on NA aperitivos and amari rather than simple sodas. Options include the Noperol Spritz (Giffard and Martini & Rossi NA aperitivos with Good Twin NA sparkling wine), the Like a Virgin (prickly pear essence, lime, mint, sparkling water), the Harvest Moon (Pathfinder NA amaro, lemon, honey, soda), an N/A Lucano Old Fashioned, and a Blackberry Cooler.

Comstock Saloon is a North Beach bar on Columbus Avenue built in the style of a nineteenth-century San Francisco saloon, with a long mahogany bar, a classics-led cocktail list and a kitchen serving through the evening. Its non-alcoholic drinks sit in a dedicated section of the printed menu and are made to the same specifications as the full-proof list. Five are named: the Torino Spritz, with Martini & Rossi Floreale, non-alcoholic sparkling wine and seltzer; the No-No Nogroni, built on Lyre's gin, Giffard aperitif and a house kombucha standing in for vermouth; Sbagliato Sbagliato, the same kombucha vermouth with NA sparkling wine and Giffard aperitif; Spruce Goose, with Pathfinder, black tea, Giffard aperitif and lemon; and Freebird, with Ritual rum, Giffard aperitif, pineapple and lime.

Violet's is a neighbourhood bar and restaurant at Clement and 24th Avenue in the Outer Richmond, running dinner nightly and weekend brunch under new ownership. Its zero-proof drinks are grouped under their own menu heading, The Pure Pour, and priced at $14 against $14 to $15 for the alcoholic cocktails. Five are listed: House Finch, built on Giffard aperitif and Mionetto's non-alcoholic aperitivo with passion fruit, vanilla, lime and tonic; Paradiso Beach, with Giffard orgeat and coconut, grapefruit, lemon and cinnamon; a Venetian Spritz of Mionetto aperitivo, Giffard aperitif and club soda; a Phony Negroni; and a Falso Amaro. Athletic Brewing's IPA is stocked at $8. The kitchen runs cioppino, fried chicken and other Richmond comfort cooking.

Fiorella's Noe Valley restaurant sits on 24th Street and serves the group's California-Italian menu of wood-fired pizza, house pasta and seasonal plates. Its cocktail card carries six drinks, two of which are marked N/A and priced level with the alcoholic ones at $14: the Noperol Spritz, built from Giffard and Mionetto non-alcoholic aperitivos with non-alcoholic sparkling wine and seltzer, and Like a Virgin, made with prickly pear, fresh lime juice, seltzer and mint. The beer list stocks Rationale's non-alcoholic West Coast IPA at $8 next to Ghost Town and Humble Sea. Having a third of the cocktail list built without alcohol, at the same price, makes this one of the stronger neighbourhood restaurant programmes on the south side of the city.
