    Ground Level Lounge

    Ala Moana–Kakaʻako

NA Program Strength: 5 of 5?

Ground Level Lounge, trading in full as Ground Level Lounge & Hawaii's Luxury Hookah, is a hookah lounge and kava bar on Makaloa Street in Ala Moana, a few minutes from Waikīkī. It serves no alcohol, and its hours are the reason it matters: 9am to 1am Sunday through Thursday and 9am to 2am on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the only rooms in Honolulu where somebody who does not drink can still be out at closing time. What it is should be stated plainly rather than discovered on arrival — hookah and tobacco are the main draw, and the kava it pours is psychoactive. This is a night out without alcohol, not a guaranteed sober space.

    Hours: Mon-Thu 9am-1am; Fri-Sat 9am-2am; Sun 9am-1am

    SKY Waikīkī

    Waikīkī

NA Program Strength: 4 of 5?

SKY Waikīkī is a nineteenth-floor rooftop raw bar and lounge above Kalākaua Avenue, with an open-air deck looking across Waikīkī to Diamond Head. It keeps three named non-alcoholic cocktails as a standing part of the menu rather than as seasonal specials: Dawn Patrol, built on a pineapple jalapeño shrub with lemon juice and soda water; Hapai Happiness, made with yuzu syrup, lime, basil and soda water; and Over the Pali. The shrub in the Dawn Patrol is the notable technique — a vinegar-based fruit syrup that supplies the sharpness a zero-proof drink normally lacks. It runs to midnight on weeknights and 2am on Friday and Saturday.

Order: Dawn Patrol (pineapple jalapeño shrub, lemon juice, soda water) · Hapai Happiness (yuzu syrup, lime, basil, soda water) · Over the Pali

    Hours: Mon-Thu 4pm-12am; Fri-Sat 4pm-2am; Sun 4pm-12am

    Vintage Books

    Kaimukī

NA Program Strength: 4 of 5?

Vintage Books is a speakeasy and restaurant hidden behind a vintage-bookstore facade on Waialae Avenue in Kaimukī — not Chinatown, as several guides have it. The styling is Prohibition-era with a tropical bend, and the spirit-free drinks are built to the same specification as the rest of the list rather than improvised. The Nogroni is the clearest evidence: Seedlip Garden, Giffard sirop aperitif and Lyre's aperitif rosso, finished with orange oil — three genuine zero-proof products layered to hold the bitterness a negroni drinker actually wants. The Kaimuki Cruise runs lychee, lemon, mango and Sicilian lemonade, and a botanical London Tonic sits alongside them.

Order: Nogroni (Seedlip Garden, Giffard sirop aperitif, Lyre's aperitif rosso, orange oil) · Kaimuki Cruise (lychee, lemon, mango, Sicilian lemonade) · London Tonic (botanical)

    Hours: Mon-Thu 4pm-11pm; Fri 4pm-12am; Sat 10am-12am; Sun 10am-11pm

  4. #4 · Open until midnight, 2 nights a week · Cocktail bar

    Yours Truly

    Downtown-Chinatown

NA Program Strength: 4 of 5?

Yours Truly is the cocktail bar inside the AC Hotel by Marriott on Bishop Street, in Honolulu's downtown financial district. It publishes a dedicated Zero-Proof section on its own menu — a distinction worth drawing, because a printed section means the drinks are costed, trained and stocked rather than left to whoever is behind the bar. Three named builds anchor it: She's Blushin', made with spiced rich cranberry, lime juice, mint leaves and club soda; Manila Bae, which puts pineapple juice with tamarind syrup, lime juice and citrus syrup; and Stamped Strawberry, muddled strawberry with lime, basil and club soda. Fever-Tree mixers are stocked for simpler orders.

Order: She's Blushin' (spiced rich cranberry, lime juice, mint leaves, club soda) · Manila Bae (pineapple juice, tamarind syrup, lime juice, citrus syrup) · Stamped Strawberry (muddled strawberry, lime, basil, club soda)

    Hours: Mon-Tue closed; Wed-Thu 5pm-11pm; Fri-Sat 5pm-12am; Sun closed

How this page decides what counts

Three facts, all verified, all required. The venue has to rate at least 4 of 5 for its non-alcoholic program — a fully alcohol-free room, or a licensed venue with a strong named zero-proof list, the same floor our Honolulu sober bars page uses. It has to be somewhere you can sit, so bottle shops are out. And its hours have to run past midnight on at least one night, which is what makes this a nightlife page rather than a second copy of the sober bars list: at that cut a restaurant with a good zero-proof menu drops out, and the bars, lounges, kava bars and late coffeehouses remain.

“No alcohol served” is written on a card only when the venue's own verified description says so — never inferred from a rating or a name. Everything else here is a bar with a real non-alcoholic program, and it is labelled as a bar. Hours are the venue's live listing, re-synced weekly; the drinks on each venue page were read off its current menu and carry the date we last confirmed them.
