Haraz Coffee House (Kearny Street)

Haraz Coffee House announced its second San Francisco location in the summer of 2025, taking 264 Kearny Street in the Financial District, a few doors from the tiki bar Pagan Idol and the pub The Irish Bank. What Now San Francisco reported the plan in July 2025, noting that the Kearny Street cafe would carry the same late-trading format as the Franklin Street original; the shop currently lists 7am to 9pm daily. The chain was founded in Dearborn, Michigan in 2021 by Hamzah Nasser, whose stated aim was to share Yemeni coffee culture and heritage in the United States, and the Kearny Street room reproduces the group's template of a large sit-down space that serves no alcohol.

The drinks are the same Yemeni list that the Franklin Street cafe pours. Harazi Mufawar combines coffee with cardamom and cream. Adeni chai and Karak chai are black teas cooked down with the house Haraz spice blend and cream, and there is a Saffron Adeni for anyone who wants the tea richer. Qishr is brewed not from coffee beans but from the dried husks of the coffee cherry, a preparation particular to Yemen, and Jubani, Sana'ani and Maleki cover the range of traditional roasts. Turkish coffee arrives dark and cardamom-scented, and the Saudi is made with saffron and cardamom. The rest of the board is a full espresso bar — cortado, americano, cappuccino, house Haraz latte, plus pistachio, saffron and salted caramel versions — along with matcha in several fruit and floral variations, blended frappes, and iced hibiscus, pomegranate and strawberry lemonade refreshers. Yemeni baking fills the pastry case, including saffron cakes and honeycomb breads, and the kitchen serves bee bites, a cream-cheese-stuffed bread brought out hot with honey. For a downtown that empties out after the offices close, an entirely alcohol-free room trading into the evening is a genuinely distinct option, and the Kearny Street address puts it on the same block as several of the Financial District's best-known drinking rooms rather than tucked away from them.
