Ocean Beach Cafe, founded by career bartender Joshua James after he took a year off drinking, bills itself as San Francisco's first non-alcoholic bar and sits one block from the sand in the Outer Richmond. Alongside Four Barrel coffee, scratch-made food and kava, it pours craft zero-proof cocktails such as the hemp-infused Destroyer of Bad Vibes, the mezcal-inspired Good Buzz Daisy, the botanical New Pear-Adigm and a booze-free French 75, and doubles as a bottle shop stocked with one of the largest selections of non-alcoholic beer, wine and spirits in the country. James also runs a private lounge called Temperance plus hourlong "Temperance Tastings," mixology classes and the alcohol-free membership program Club AF. The SF Standard has called it "mocktail central in San Francisco."
