Leahi Health occupies a storefront at 3441 Waialae Avenue on the main Kaimukī strip, one of a small group of Oʻahu locations that also includes Hawaiʻi Kai. It is a plant-based café and juice bar rather than a bar in any conventional sense, and it is included here for the simplest reason: nothing on the premises contains alcohol, and its drinks are made rather than poured from a carton. Produce is prepped fresh daily, every smoothie uses real fruit instead of concentrate or purée base, dressings are made in house, and the kombucha is brewed on site. Most ingredients are organic and hand-picked from farms in the islands, which in Hawaiʻi is a shorter supply chain than the phrase usually implies.

It is worth being straightforward about what this venue is and is not. Honolulu does not have a dedicated zero-proof cocktail bar, and it has no non-alcoholic bottle shop; its fully alcohol-free scene is built out of kava rooms and plant-based cafés rather than out of rooms that replicate a bar. Leahi Health belongs firmly in the second group. Nobody is going to mistake a Green Monster smoothie for a negroni, and the venue makes no attempt at that — there is no zero-proof spirit behind the counter and no cocktail idiom in the menu. What it does offer is a room where a person who does not drink is not making a substitution or a request, where the drinks list is the actual point of the business, and where the house kombucha gives the acid and tannin that make a glass feel like something more than juice. Kaimukī puts it within a few minutes' walk of Vintage Books, which has the neighbourhood's serious spirit-free cocktail list, so the two together cover most of a day. Opening hours are 8am to 6pm daily.
