MadTree Brewing, founded in Cincinnati in 2013, runs its flagship brewery and restaurant at 3301 Madison Road in Oakley, just off Oakley Square and near Rookwood Commons. Built on a reputation for hop-forward IPAs and a rotating craft lineup poured across more than 30 taps, MadTree also folds sustainability into its brand — it donates 1% of sales to environmental nonprofits, the same "leave no trace" ethos that would later name its non-alcoholic beer.

In December 2021 MadTree became one of the region's first craft breweries to make its own alcohol-removed beer, releasing "Leave No Trace," a 0.5%-ABV dry-hopped pale ale, as a taproom-only draft. As MadTree told CityBeat when the beer launched, "It has to be appealing and taste good. If we are going to do this, we want to do this right." That release read more as a landmark experiment than a permanent fixture — it no longer appears on the regular menu — but the taproom kept a standing non-alcoholic program in its place. As of early 2025, CityBeat reported MadTree pours guest NA beers including Lagunitas Hazy IPNA and Athletic Brewing's Upside Dawn Golden Ale, and the bar mixes two house mocktails to order: The Garden Variety and the Watermelon Limeade. Earlier menus also featured house-made ginger ale, bottled craft root beer and an "Empty Threats" mocktail with blood-orange cordial, lime juice and non-alcoholic grapefruit bitters.

The Oakley taproom is open Monday–Thursday 11am–11pm, Friday 11am to midnight, Saturday 10am to midnight and Sunday 10am–11pm, with weekend brunch, a full food menu, a large patio and private event spaces, and is easy to reach from I-71. It makes a comfortable pick for a designated driver or a sober night out with a group. One caveat for the strictly alcohol-free crowd: alongside the mocktails and NA beers, the taproom also stocks Floral's THC-infused beverages, so ask the bartender if you want a zero-buzz drink — the house mocktails and the guest NA beers are your safe bets.
