1325 Grand Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007
The Nixer is a bar built into a repurposed horse-and-utility trailer, which sounds like a gimmick and functions as a solution. Phoenix had no dedicated alcohol-free bar; opening one as fixed premises means signing a lease against a market nobody had proved existed. Putting it on wheels meant the bar could go to where the people already were — markets, concerts, dry happy hours, wellness events, private parties — and let demand accumulate before bricks did. It is billed as the Valley's first dedicated non-alcoholic bar, operating as Everything NA, LLC, with a home base on Grand Avenue in the arts district.
The drinks are the argument. Its bartenders work under the name "nixologists", and the builds are layered rather than sweet — many of them infused with adaptogens, nootropics, functional mushrooms or CBD, which places the bar in the functional-beverage tradition rather than the mocktail one. The distinction matters to the audience: a person who has stopped drinking is usually not looking for fruit juice in a nice glass but for something that occupies the same place in an evening, with some of the same weight and ritual. Alongside the trailer the operation runs private-event and corporate catering and sells ready-to-drink options, which is how a mobile bar makes a year work in a city where outdoor events stop in June.
One thing this listing deliberately does not do is name an owner. The Nixer was co-founded by Tamara Wright and Bradley Bridwell, and reporting indicates it has since been acquired from its original owners — but the date and current ownership are not confirmed from a primary source, so no name is stated as current here.
Practical notes: because it is mobile, check the Instagram before travelling — the trailer's location changes, and the Grand Avenue address is a base rather than a guarantee of service on any given night. Everything poured is alcohol-free. A number of the builds contain psychoactive botanicals — adaptogens, functional mushrooms, CBD — so alcohol-free is not the same as substance-free, and it is worth asking what is in a drink before ordering it if that distinction matters to you.
