101 W Monument St, Baltimore, MD 21201
Topside sits on the 14th floor of Hotel Revival at 101 W Monument Street in Mount Vernon, in what was the Peabody Court Hotel — when the hospitality group took the building over, the smart move was to use the panoramic windows at the top of it, and the result has the best view of any dining room in Baltimore, taking in the Washington Monument and the harbour beyond. Baltimore Magazine described a room that feels airy and modern with light woods and geometric accents, on a loose beer-garden theme. The kitchen leans local and seasonal. Dinner runs 5pm to 10pm Monday through Saturday and to 11pm on Sundays, with weekend brunch from 10am and happy hour weekdays from 4pm to 6pm. Valet parking is available at the hotel and walk-ins are taken subject to space.
The non-alcoholic programme has a name that tells you the intent — Zero Proof, Zero Judgment — and it is written into how the bar describes itself: elevated American cooking with handcrafted cocktails, local beers and booze-free creations built on regional flavours. That framing matters more than it might sound, because a rooftop bar with a view is exactly the kind of venue where a non-drinker most often ends up holding a soft drink while everyone else has something considered. The documented house drink is Yellow Balloons, which Baltimore Magazine described as spicy and built from cinnamon-infused ginger turmeric tea, a pineapple shrub and grapefruit bitters — a shrub-and-tea construction rather than a juice mix, which is what gives it length. Two caveats worth having in advance: the bar does not publish a drink-by-drink menu online, so the current zero-proof list has to be asked about at the table, and Yellow Balloons itself was documented in early 2025, so treat it as the house style rather than a guarantee. Hotel Revival currently lists Topside as its rooftop restaurant alongside its cafe and karaoke room.
