Trick Dog is a celebrated cocktail bar in San Francisco's Mission District, opened by Josh Harris in 2013 and known for elaborately designed, fully themed cocktail menus that the team reinvents roughly every six months. Owner Harris has been sober for years, and that ethos shapes the bar's thoughtful non-alcoholic program: rather than relegating zero-proof drinks to a back-of-menu afterthought, Trick Dog integrates them into the same menu sections with the same creative names so non-drinkers get the identical ordering experience. Past booze-free creations have included Puppy Pose, a creamy green milk punch with wheatgrass, yogurt and non-alcoholic spirits, and the Wydah, a mix of spirit alternatives including Ritual Tequila Alternative and Wilfred's Aperitif. The bar was named Best U.S. Cocktail Bar at the 2025 Spirited Awards and is a two-time winner of the World's Best Cocktail Menu.

Trick Dog is a ridiculously popular bar (and Flour + Water waiting spot) in the Mission that serves creative cocktails that are actually good (and not just pretentious).
