Campfire is a live-fire New American restaurant in Carlsbad Village, opened in 2016 by restaurateur John Resnick inside a converted mid-century Quonset hut with a 12-foot wood-burning hearth at its center. Executive chef Eric Bost leads a seasonal, communal menu organized into "Trailhead," "Kindling," and "The Fire," and the kitchen earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and remains in the Michelin Guide. The bar program extends to thoughtful non-alcoholic cocktails: San Diego Magazine highlighted Campfire's zero-proof "Thank You, Please," built from yellow corn, jicama, hoja santa, lime, and koji. The NA offering is culinary-driven and intentional — a fine, ingredient-forward option alongside acclaimed wood-fired food.
