Kingfisher is a Vietnamese-French cocktail bar and eatery in San Diego's historic Golden Hill, opened in January 2022 by sisters Ky and Kim Phan and Kim's husband Quan Le. The kitchen serves modern Vietnamese cuisine with French and East Asian influences alongside an ambitious craft-cocktail program, and the bar runs a genuine zero-proof option: general manager David Tye uses Lyre's non-alcoholic spirits to rebuild several cocktails alcohol-free while keeping the original recipe intact, including a Papaya Margarita made with NA tequila, papaya, lime, agave, and black lava sea salt. Kingfisher is listed in the Michelin Guide and on national and statewide best-of lists, making it one of Golden Hill's most acclaimed dining-and-drinking destinations.
