Corner Club

Corner Club occupies a former neighbourhood tavern on East Sligh Avenue in Old Seminole Heights, reopened under new ownership after a full renovation and now running as an all-day cafe and bar rather than the tavern it replaced. That shift in format is what produced one of the most developed zero-proof menus in Tampa: a room that opens for coffee and stays open for cocktails has to serve people across the whole day, including the many hours when drinking is not the point.

The alcohol-free list is a named section - Mocktails - rather than a footnote, and several builds run on Lyre's non-alcoholic spirits. Orange You Glad It's N/A pairs Lyre's Italian Orange with a chamomile-ginger syrup, elderflower tonic and soda; the Nahmaretto Sour is Lyre's Amaretto with lemon and sugar, shaken to the texture the name implies; the Bees Knees uses a non-alcoholic gin with lime and honey; and the N/A Gria rebuilds the bar's sangria on non-alcoholic wine with orange juice, grapefruit and cinnamon. Jalapeno Business is the outlier and the most interesting - a strawberry-jalapeno shrub with lemon, basil, spiced orange, ginger ale and soda, which is a genuinely savoury drink rather than a sweet one. Behind the cocktails sits an N/A Beverages fridge holding Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher, Lagunitas IPNA, kombucha and non-alcoholic wine by the glass.

Five named builds on real NA spirits, plus a stocked fridge, puts this well ahead of most neighbourhood bars anywhere, and it is the reason a venue in a residential pocket of Seminole Heights earns a place beside downtown cocktail rooms.

Practical notes: it functions as a cafe by day and a bar by evening, so the crowd and the volume change substantially depending on when you arrive. It is a licensed bar - the mocktail section is a real and unusually deep part of the menu, not the character of the room. The same N/A Beverages list also stocks a Recess CBD seltzer and an Aryloom CBD/THC drink; both are alcohol-free but psychoactive, so anyone avoiding intoxicants rather than alcohol specifically should order around them. Parking is on-street and the block is residential, so arrive expecting to walk a little.
