Lyre's is a non-alcoholic spirits brand founded in 2019 by Australian entrepreneurs Mark Livings and Carl Hartmann, with operations split between Australia and London. The name references the Australian lyrebird, renowned for mimicry — a nod to the brand's mission of faithfully replicating the aroma, flavor and finish of classic full-strength spirits without the alcohol. The range is among the most comprehensive in the category, spanning alternatives to gin, whiskey/bourbon, rum, tequila and Italian aperitifs, plus sparkling wine alternatives and canned ready-to-drink cocktails.
Every Lyre's spirit is classified as non-alcoholic, testing at 0.5% ABV or less (individual products such as the Dry London Spirit and American Malt label under 0.4% and 0.3% ABV respectively). Because the spirits use flavor distillates and essences rather than fermentation, calorie counts are very low — roughly 0 to 3 calories per 30ml serving, which the brand markets as up to 95% fewer calories than the alcoholic equivalent. Spirits are sold primarily in 700ml bottles, alongside RTD cans.
Lyre's has grown into one of the largest and most awarded non-alcoholic spirit brands globally, distributed across more than 60 markets and stocked at numerous top bars worldwide. In 2022 its Italian Orange aperitif won "Best New Spirit or Cocktail Ingredient" at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards — the first time a non-alcoholic product won that category.

1833 Craft
Sugar House
Salt Lake City's dedicated non-alcoholic speakeasy, opened in December 2024 inside a restored century-old Sugar House home known as The Eclipse House and run by sibling team Matthew and Kelly LaPlante. The entire menu is zero-proof — "0% Alcohol, 100% Heart" — built by co-owner and lead bartender Matthew, a former Salt Lake Tribune reporter who quit drinking but never left bar culture, with his sister Kelly, a designer, styling the room as a forest-green, 1920s-inspired lounge. The duo have developed 50-plus craft NA cocktails on premium spirits like Lyre's, Dhōs, Trejo's and Kentucky 74, finished with herbs from their own basement hydroponic garden. The name nods to 1833, the year of the Latter-day Saint "Word of Wisdom," and because nothing on the menu contains alcohol, no ID is required — a genuine cocktail experience for people in recovery, designated drivers, never-drinkers, and the sober-curious.
Bar Palmina
Fishtown
Bar Palmina is Philadelphia's first fully zero-proof cocktail bar, where everything served — down to the bitters — is alcohol-free. It opened in Fishtown in 2024, founded by Nikki Graziano, who built the bar after a 2022 liver transplant prompted by alcohol-related liver failure and her subsequent path to sobriety. The bar is named for her Italian-American grandmother, Palmina. The menu runs about 22 signature and classic non-alcoholic cocktails alongside 11 NA wines and proxies and 7 NA beers, with house-made and from-scratch infusions throughout. Named drinks include the Yuzu Negroni, D'Argento (rice-washed white tea, cucumber, juniper, yuzu), The Lifesaver (lemongrass, ginger, coconut), and the Limonhattan. The living-room-style lounge also screens soccer matches. It was named Philadelphia Magazine's Best Non-Alcoholic Bar in 2025.

Minus Moonshine
Prospect Heights
Minus Moonshine is a fully alcohol-free bottle shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, opened in summer 2021 by founder Apryl Electra Storms — making it one of New York City's earliest dedicated zero-proof package shops. From the street it reads like a neighborhood liquor store, but every bottle is non-alcoholic: NA beer, wine, spirits, aperitifs, mixers, bitters, and adaptogenic "potions." Inventory spans well-known zero-proof names including Ghia, Seedlip, Lyre's, Kin Euphorics, and Curious Elixirs, alongside NA wines and CBD/adaptogen spritzers, with prices reported from about $2 to $56. Storms, who is queer and non-binary, built the shop around the idea of "drink what you love" — offering non-alcoholic versions of whiskey, wine, and aperitivo for sober and sober-curious customers. Beyond retail, the store runs regular weekend tastings and community meetups, including sober-curious parent groups, queer-friends gatherings, singles nights, and meditation sessions. A second location opened in Greenpoint in 2025.
Soberish
Kirkwood
Soberish is an alcohol-free bottle shop and wellness boutique in Atlanta's Kirkwood neighborhood, founded in August 2023 by real estate attorney and entrepreneur Mehrnush Saadat. Built around the idea that "sober" means something different to everyone, the shop curates a predominantly women-owned selection of non-alcoholic spirits, de-alcoholized wines, aperitifs, and zero-proof beer alongside cannabis and CBD wellness products, barware, and gifts. Saadat personally vets ingredients for natural, low-sugar quality, and the store leans heavily on education, hosting weekly Saturday tastings so guests can sample before buying. Confirmed brands on the shelves include St. Agrestis (Phony Negroni), Lyre's, De Soi, Figlia, and Best Day Brewing. After celebrating its first anniversary in 2024, Soberish expanded with a second location at Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills.

Taano House
East 6th Street
Taano House is a non-alcoholic trailer bar parked at 1109 E. 6th Street in Austin's East Sixth entertainment district, open daily from 5pm to 2am. Opened August 15, 2024 by University of Texas professor Geoff Smith and Joe Wes — co-founders of Austin-based Taano Elevated Beverages — the bar offers an unusual take on non-alcoholic drinking. Rather than focusing on traditional mocktails, Taano builds drinks around legal psychoactive plants like kava, kanna, blue lotus, and Amanita muscaria, aiming to deliver the relaxation and euphoria of social drinking through botanicals rather than alcohol. The cocktail menu was developed with Shaun Meglen, a mixologist and product education director for beverage distributor Southern Glazer's. Standout drinks include the Egyptian Mule (built on blue lotus and Amethyst's cucumber-ginger-serrano NA spirit), the Molly Martini (kanna with Lyre's NA coffee liqueur), and a 'mushroom wine' pairing Amanita muscaria with Oddbird NA wine. Visitors in recovery or anyone with substance sensitivities should note that the menu emphasizes psychoactive botanicals — this is a non-alcoholic experience, not necessarily a fully sober one.
The New Bar
Cow Hollow
The New Bar is San Francisco's dedicated alcohol-free bottle shop and tasting bar, the Cow Hollow outpost of the brand founded by Brianda Gonzalez, who opened the original Los Angeles location in July 2022. The SF store opened in March 2024 on Union Street, in the former home of plant shop The Sill. Everything sold is zero-proof: one wall holds non-alcoholic wines, ciders, and sparkling bottles, while the other side carries NA spirits, beer, aperitifs, bitters, mixers, and canned mocktails. The shop keeps 40–50 curated labels at a time — names like Ghia, Lyre's, De Soi, Wilderton, Three Spirit, Ritual Zero Proof, Seedlip, Athletic Brewing, and Kin Euphorics — and runs daily in-store tastings with staff who specialize in booze-free alternatives. Online ordering, in-store pickup, and local delivery are also offered.
The Zero Co.
Poncey-Highland
The Zero Co. is Atlanta's first dedicated non-alcoholic bottle shop, opened in December 2022 in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood by Cory and Malory Atkinson, the husband-and-wife team behind nearby Elemental Spirits Co. The shop grew out of the rapidly growing zero-proof section at Elemental and stocks more than 500 non-alcoholic products — spirit alternatives, de-alcoholized wines, NA beers, and ready-to-drink cans — alongside locally made shrubs, vinegars, bitters, and elixirs. A bar-cart sample station lets customers taste before buying, and the space hosts tastings and events. Carried brands include Ghia, Seedlip, Lyre's, Wilderton, Ritual Zero Proof, De Soi, Three Spirit, Free Spirits, Athletic Brewing, and more. As co-owner Malory Atkinson put it, the goal was a "warm and welcoming" space for all kinds of drinkers and non-drinkers.
Wallace Dry Goods
Ardmore (Main Line)
Wallace Dry Goods is Ardmore's first fully non-alcoholic bottle shop, opened in early 2024 by owner Robin Cummiskey on the Main Line at 1 West Lancaster Avenue. Styled like a traditional bottle shop — shelves of "whiskey," wine, gin, and mixers — it stocks zero liquor; everything is alcohol-free. The shop sells NA spirits, beer, wine, cider, mixers, bitters, syrups, and ready-to-drink cans, plus barware, so non-drinkers have the same tools to build cocktails at home. Brands carried include Ghia, Ritual Zero Proof, Cut Above, Seedlip, Lyre's, Athletic Brewing, Abstinence, and Mingle Mocktails. A daily in-store tasting bar pours rotating samples and the occasional craft mocktail, and the shop hosts classes and events. Wallace Dry Goods was named Best Non-Alcoholic Bottle Shop in Philadelphia Magazine's 2024 Best of Philly awards.
