Golden Ratio opened November 26, 2025 in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, from Redwood Hospitality, the team behind Place des Fêtes, Cafe Mado, and Laurel Bakery. Its defining concept is that the menu is split evenly between roughly 16 spirited cocktails and 16 non-alcoholic ones, with every drink orderable with or without alcohol and both versions getting equal attention. Rather than de-boozing classics, the zero-proof drinks are treated as parallel expressions of the same featured seasonal ingredient (the drinks carry ingredient names like Purple Shiso, Pine, Grand Fir, Parsnip, and Mandarin), so the NA side is a genuine counterpart rather than an afterthought. Beverage director and Redwood partner Piper Kristensen builds proprietary, house-made non-alcoholic water distillates and hydrosols using a rotary evaporator, capturing volatile flavors from greenmarket produce, foraged elements, and byproducts from the group's own kitchens, such as leftover bread from Laurel Bakery and citrus peels from Place des Fêtes, forming a near-zero-waste closed loop. The room is warm and minimal with repurposed furniture, soft amber light, and multiple seating zones; the bar runs largely on walk-ins with limited Resy bookings.
