Branded 'Your First Place for the Third Space,' House of Mana at 4401 S Orange Ave in SoDo runs a fantasy- and gaming-themed menu: kava shells sold single, double, or triple; a 'Leaf Compendium' of botanical teas; 'Elixirs of the Realm' kava mocktails and 'Pixel Potions' botanical tea mocktails; extract-seltzer shots from 'The Quickdraw Bar'; cold brew coffee flights from 'The Alchemist's Still'; and a run of canned kava/kratom-extract beverages. By day it's a coworking and study space with wifi and workstations; by evening it shifts into a lounge with a stage, pool tables, and arcade machines.
As with any kava bar, it's worth noting House of Mana is alcohol-free but not substance-free - its kava, extract shots, and CBD drinks are mood-altering botanicals rather than plain caffeine or herbal tea, so it markets itself as a 'sanctuary free of spirits,' not a fully substance-free space.
The lounge runs a dense recurring events schedule: Monday all-you-can-drink kava, biweekly D&D nights, fighting-game and pool tournaments, and community board-game nights, plus monthly Magic: The Gathering, trivia, movie nights, open-mic music, bingo, paint-and-sip, a Sunday book club, a first-Wednesday 'Mana Mixer' networking night, a third-Wednesday industry speaker series, a last-Wednesday philosophy club, and an end-of-month 'Level Up' celebration. It's open daily from 8am to 2am.
