Moon Rabbit is chef-owner Kevin Tien's reimagined Vietnamese restaurant, reborn in DC's Penn Quarter in 2024 in the former Co.Co. Sala space at 927 F St NW after its original run inside the Wharf's InterContinental hotel (which closed the restaurant in 2023). The intimate, roughly 50-seat dining room pairs Tien's modern Vietnamese cooking, threaded with his Louisiana roots, with a bar program led by Bar Director Thi Nguyen, who won the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Washington, D.C. Exceptional Cocktails Award. Nguyen weaves Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients from the kitchen into her drinks and gives the non-alcoholic list equal billing with the full bar. Confirmed zero-proof options include the Dynas-Tea, built on a five-spice-infused NA whiskey with miso caramel, and a Purple Shiso Spritz. The restaurant is recognized in the MICHELIN Guide and was named to North America's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list, and it remains a Washingtonian "100 Very Best Restaurants" pick. Its central Penn Quarter setting makes it a notable destination for diners seeking thoughtfully made alcohol-free cocktails alongside ambitious food.
