Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club

For non-drinkers in Denver, Nocturne is one of the few upscale venues where the zero-proof experience is genuinely considered rather than an afterthought. The 'Ain't Misbehavin'' menu — named with a nod to the jazz standard — is a seasonally rotating program of original spirit-free cocktails, designed to pair course-by-course with the kitchen's three-course supper. Guests in the Five Points neighborhood can also order from it à la carte at reserved bar seats, meaning a full evening here doesn't require a full dinner commitment.

The current menu leans on Lyre's and Seedlip as its base spirits, assembled into drinks that hold up conceptually against the cocktail list proper. 'Violet Suede' combines Lyre's N/A gin with verjus, aquafaba, and a blueberry pink peppercorn syrup for a velvety, lightly tart pour. 'Cha Cha Chai' uses chai-infused Seedlip 94 with rosemary, coconut water, cranberry, lemon, and orange — aromatic and bright. 'Golden Harmony' layers Lyre's White Cane Spirit with Seedlip Garden 108, tamarind, verjus, orange, and spice-whipped honey for something richer and more complex. Co-owners Scott and Nicole Mattson built this program with the same philosophy they apply to everything at Nocturne: cuisine, cocktails, service, and music should all be executed at the same level.

Nocturne operates Wednesday through Sunday in an acoustically designed, bi-level converted warehouse that blends industrial RiNo bones with 1920s art-deco details. Reservations are strongly recommended and are often pre-ticketed through the venue's website; walk-ins are accepted when space allows, with a per-person music charge added to the check. The dress code is smart-casual to dressed-up — the crowd takes the experience seriously, and the room rewards it. Guests 14 and older are welcome when accompanied by a parent; no one under 14 is admitted.
