Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. opened its first Colorado location in April 2026 at 15464 East Hampden Avenue in Aurora, bringing to the Denver metro the Yemeni coffeehouse format that has become one of the fastest-growing categories of alcohol-free late-night social space in the United States. The company was founded by Yemeni entrepreneurs Hatem Al-Eidaroos and Munif, who describe the business as a mission rather than a chain: "I'm in love with Yemeni coffee and on a mission to share it with the world," Al-Eidaroos says on the company's own site. Qamaria harvests and packages beans from single farms in Haraz, Yemen, a high-altitude growing region whose elevation, soil and climate the company credits for producing some of the rarest coffee in the world. The Aurora store sits close to the Colorado Muslim Community Center and has been fitted with traditional Yemeni-style seating — low cushions on the floor as well as ordinary tables — so that groups can settle in for hours.

The draw for anyone not drinking is the combination of hours and menu. Qamaria trades until 10pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday, so it functions as a place to go out in the evening rather than a morning coffee stop. Nothing on the premises contains alcohol. The house speciality is qishr, brewed not from the bean but from the dried coffee husk, which produces a tangy, lightly fruity cup that Qamaria also sells as cascara; it sits alongside espresso-based drinks and spiced preparations built on cardamom and cinnamon that Visit Aurora singles out in its listing. Food runs to Middle Eastern sweets and bakes — baklava, milk cakes and honeycomb bread — plus savoury cheese and meat pies. Denver's non-alcoholic scene has been dominated by licensed cocktail bars with zero-proof lists; Qamaria is one of the few venues in the metro where the whole room is alcohol-free by design and stays open late enough to matter.
