Sadie's

Sadie's occupies 1200 Villa Place in Edgehill Village, steps from Music Row, in the corner space that was Taco Mamacita until it closed in 2021. It opened that September under Red Pebbles Hospitality, the local group led by Howard Greenstone with Ken Levitan, whose other Nashville rooms include Adele's, The 404 Kitchen and the Jewish deli Shep's in Five Points. The cooking is Mediterranean-influenced American, built for sharing rather than around individual plates — sumac-roasted butternut squash stuffed with quinoa, kale and cranberry, crispy artichokes with dill aioli, chargrilled octopus salad, and a pistachio baklava made with local honey — and the room was designed to match, raw brick set against white stucco with muted tile floors and blush pink and mossy green accents. Service is unusually wide for the neighbourhood: lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, brunch from 10am at weekends, and a happy hour Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 6pm.

The non-alcoholic drinks sit in a section headed "Mocktails" and are priced flat at $9 — and, importantly, they are also included in happy hour rather than excluded from it, dropping to $8 alongside the discounted cocktails. All four are built from fresh purées, citrus and house sodas rather than from a bought-in zero-proof spirit, which makes this a fruit-and-soda programme done properly rather than an attempt to imitate a cocktail. Pathos combines passionfruit and lime with a hibiscus ginger beer. Pineapple Express is the most composed of the four, working mint and almond orgeat with lime and pineapple soda so it drinks nutty rather than simply sweet. Guava Ginger pairs guava purée with ginger, lime and guava soda, and the Strawberry Lemonade is exactly what it says — strawberry purée, lemon and soda. The list does rotate: a Blueberry Butterfly that appeared on earlier menus has since been replaced. Two non-alcoholic beers, Athletic Brewing's Athletic Lite and an Untitled Art juicy IPA, round out the spirit-free options, which are available throughout service.
