Scarfes Bar

Set inside Rosewood London on High Holborn, Scarfes Bar is one of the city's most decorated hotel cocktail bars: it ranked No. 31 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2025 and was named No. 1 Best International Hotel Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2024. The room is named for and hung with the work of British caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, styled like a grand, slightly surreal drawing room, with a roaring fire, deep armchairs and live jazz on the bill nightly from 8pm to midnight.

The bar's non-alcoholic craft is genuine and printed in the main menu rather than benched. For the 2025 'Long Drawn Out Sip' menu, the team under Director of Bars Andy Loudon built 24 originals across four chapters and, for the first time, gave two of them full zero-proof status in the core list: the No-Cracker 0%, an alcohol-free counterpart to the house Nutcracker made with Amarico, Martini Vibrante and acorn soda; and the Lost & Found 0%, combining juniper hydrosol and Martini Vibrante with raspberry and iris cordial. These are treated with the same clarification, cordial-making and carbonation techniques as the full-strength drinks.

Scarfes Bar rotates its concept menu roughly annually (the 2026 successor, 'Heroes & Villains', reimagines ten iconic figures across paired cocktails), so exact zero-proof serves change with each edition, but the alcohol-free line-up has been an anchored, priced part of the offering — non-alcoholic cocktails have run around £12. It's a high-end, occasion room where a non-drinker is handed something built with the same rigour as everything else on the list.
