Homewood is the suburb over Red Mountain from downtown Birmingham, and its centre is one of the few genuinely walkable town cores in the metro. SoHo Social sits in the middle of it, functioning as a neighbourhood restaurant and bar rather than a destination — which is exactly the role that makes it useful here.

The alcohol-free offer is a policy rather than a list: any of the bar's signature seasonal cocktails can be built as a mocktail, which Bham Now documented in its January 2026 round-up of non-alcoholic drinking in Birmingham. This directory usually treats "we can make anything without alcohol" as a weak answer, and the grade of three reflects that. What lifts it above the usual version is the word seasonal. A bar with a rotating signature list is working from a live pantry of house syrups, shrubs and infusions, and those components are what an alcohol-free build actually needs — the spirit is the easiest part to leave out when everything else is made in-house.

The practical case is stronger than the programme. SoHo Social serves 11am to 10pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 9pm on Sunday: seven days, all day, no closed evening. Several of Birmingham's better alcohol-free rooms shut on Sunday and Monday and none of the downtown bars open before four. If the question is where a family, or someone who does not drink, can reliably go on a Sunday lunchtime in this metro, this is close to the only answer in the guide.

No signature drinks are recorded, deliberately: the mocktails mirror a rotating cocktail list, so any specific name would be wrong within a season. Ask what the current signatures are and have one built without the spirit.
