354 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118
Yellow Door Taqueria began in Dorchester's Lower Mills and expanded into the South End at 354 Harrison Avenue, in the Ink Block development on the edge of the neighborhood where it meets the expressway. The format is Cali-Mex: tacos, bowls and shareables, a room that fills after work and stays busy through the evening, and a bar organised around margaritas. It keeps later hours than most of the surrounding restaurants, serving until 11pm Sunday through Wednesday and midnight Thursday through Saturday, with brunch from 11am at weekends and lunch on Thursdays and Fridays.
The reason it is listed here is that the group deliberately rebuilt its alcohol-free offering. The Boston Globe reported in March 2026 that Yellow Door had replaced a short list of soft drinks and faux margaritas topping out at $7 with hand-squeezed, fresh-fruit mocktails at $10, and the current menu bears that out. Mango Vibes Only combines mango, pineapple, coconut, agave and lime. Stitzer's Paloma is built on a house rosemary syrup with fresh grapefruit and lime juices topped with soda, and is the closest thing on the list to the bar's own signature drink without the tequila. Sober Baddie layers pineapple and hibiscus with vanilla, toasted coconut, lime and soda. All three are $10 against a cocktail list in the mid teens, and Jarritos in assorted flavours are $4 for anyone who just wants a cold soda with tacos. The programme is modest in size and there are no non-alcoholic spirits behind it, so it is graded as real but not serious; what it does have is fresh juice, house syrups and three drinks that a bartender will make properly rather than apologise for. The group also runs the original Lower Mills restaurant in Dorchester and a location in Providence, and the same three mocktails are poured at each; a Mission Hill branch has closed.
