Beyond Proof opened in April 2026 in the Jamaica Plain storefront that had housed Ten Tables, the neighbourhood restaurant owner Krista Kranyak ran for years before she stopped drinking and rebuilt the business around alcohol-free hospitality. The conversion was covered closely by the Boston press: the Boston Globe reported the change on April 2, 2026 under the headline that Ten Tables would become Beyond Proof, returned on April 29, 2026 with a piece on a Boston cocktail bar where all the drinks are alcohol-free, WBUR covered the city's no-alcohol cocktail scene on April 30, 2026, and Boston Magazine ran its own feature on May 18, 2026. NBC Boston previewed the opening the week before it happened. Kranyak's own site describes the result as craft zero-proof cocktails paired with Mediterranean-inspired mezze, and the room retains the small, plainly furnished scale of the restaurant it replaced.
The drink list is built entirely at 0% ABV and grouped by mood rather than by base spirit. First Light combines 0% tequila with grapefruit, thyme, lime, sea salt and aromatic bitters; Deep Breath mixes orange, lemon, 0% amaro, honey, ginger and blood orange with sparkling. Under Florals, Abstinence in Bloom pairs rhubarb and ginger with juniper and an egg-white foam, and Soft Blush uses hibiscus, Silver Swallow rose and rose oil. Groundings holds Still Ember (coconut, 0% mezcal, lime, date, sea salt), a roasted blueberry-basil margarita, and the Settle, which is made with kava, a psychoactive root the bar lists plainly among the ingredients alongside lime, strawberry, coconut foam and balsamic salt. Rewritten Classics covers a smoked old fashioned built on NKD 0% bourbon with tableside smoke, an espresso martini with 0% vanilla vodka and shaved cacao, a Guinness espresso martini using 0% Guinness, a dirty martini, a gin and tonic and a lychee mojito. Alcohol-free wine runs $12 a glass and 0% beer $8, drawn from Best Day Brewing, Athletic Brewing and Guinness.
“You can build a zero-proof craft cocktail with just as much structure and complexity as a real cocktail.”— Krista Kranyak, owner of Beyond ProofThe Boston Globe →
