Alexxa's sits on a balcony at Paris Las Vegas, directly over Las Vegas Boulevard, which gives it one of the better Strip-side vantage points on the block and explains why its weekend brunch has become the thing it is known for. The kitchen is a modern Italian-inspired steakhouse: pizzas and pastas, omelettes and brunch plates in the morning, steaks and seasonal entrees at night, served across an indoor dining room and the open-air patio. Service starts at 7am every day and runs to 10pm, extending to 11pm on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the few rooms on this stretch of the Strip that will serve you a properly made drink across that whole span of the day.

What earns it a place here is the drinks menu, which carries a standing section headed Zero-Proof rather than burying a couple of juices at the foot of the cocktail list. It is one of the more thoroughly built spirit-free lists on the Strip, and it uses real non-alcoholic products rather than sweetened substitutes. The Zero Royal combines Lucano N/A amaro with pomegranate juice, Owen's ginger beer and lime; the Flora Botanica is built on Seedlip Grove 42 with grapefruit juice, tart cherry syrup and lime; the St. Zita Spritz uses Giffard's non-alcoholic aperitif with non-alcoholic sparkling wine, soda and orange, which puts a credible spritz in front of someone who is not drinking; and the Michenada is a michelada built on Athletic Brewing's Atletica. The same section carries Athletic Brewing's Free Wave hazy IPA and Atletica by the can, a matcha green tea latte, freshly squeezed orange juice, a Garden Glow cold-pressed juice of apple, celery, cucumber, spinach, kale, parsley, ginger and lemon, and Ghirardelli hot chocolate with marshmallows. The breadth matters as much as the quality: a guest at a long brunch can order four different things across two hours without repeating themselves or reaching for a soda.
