Bar Nuda

Bar Nuda is a Mexican-inspired, fully non-alcoholic pop-up co-founded in Venice in 2023 by Pablo Murillo and Morris Ellis (with bartender Bryant J. Orozco), billed as the first and only Mexican-inspired zero-proof experience in America and conceived in part as a tribute to Murillo's father, whom he lost to alcohol-related illness. It is a roving operation rather than a brick-and-mortar bar: per its own site it "curates private events, corporate happy hours, and community activations across Southern California," and it has popped up at Venice cafe Little Lunch (Wednesdays–Fridays in the evening), the Butterfly rooftop, and De Buena Planta in Silver Lake, with DJs, food, local vendors, trivia nights, and nonprofit partnerships. Under the motto "Drink to remember," the cocktail program draws on beverages from across the regions of Mexico, with house-crafted zero-proof drinks such as the cempasúchil carajillo, the Rosa Nuda, the beet-and-ginger Magón, mock margaritas, and a Snow Chrysanthemum non-alcoholic wine, each designed around a functional intent like relaxation, focus, or rejuvenation. Bar Nuda has been featured by Good Morning America, the LA Times, Forbes, Eater, The Infatuation, and L.A. TACO, and as of late 2025 was expanding from pop-ups toward a packaged product, the Ceroveza alcohol-free beer slated for 2026.
