24 Windward Ave, Venice, CA 90291
Belles Beach House sits just off the Venice Boardwalk on Windward Avenue, a campy 1970s-tiki concept from the Wish You Were Here Group (the team behind Elephante and Eveleigh) that opened in October 2021 serving Hawaiian-inspired izakaya plates with a Japanese accent. For non-drinkers it punches well above the beachside average: instead of topping out at a soda or a virgin daiquiri, Belles keeps a dedicated zero-proof section of roughly eight non-alcoholic spritzes and coolers — most priced around $11 — served in the same tiki glassware as the venue's vibrant craft cocktails. Standouts include the herbal Thai Basil Cucumber and Watermelon Mint spritzes ($11 each) and the Palm Reader ($14), a more considered build layering Aplos Ease nootropics with yuzu, Thai basil, cucumber, and sparkling water. It is loud and unabashedly fun — making it a strong call for sober-curious visitors who want the full Venice Beach party atmosphere without the alcohol; reservations are recommended on weekends.
