Felix Trattoria is chef Evan Funke's regional Italian restaurant at 1023 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, run in partnership with Janet Zuccarini of Gusto 54. Funke trained under Alessandra Spisni at La Vecchia Scuola Bolognese in Bologna and describes himself as a custodian of Italian tradition and a master of old-world handmade pasta technique; Felix was, by the restaurant's own account, the first restaurant to feature a pasta laboratorio in the centre of the dining room, the glass-walled workshop where the day's pasta is made in view of the tables. He has been nominated twice for James Beard awards, his cookbook American Sfoglino won the 2020 IACP award for best cookbook, and he has been the official chef of the Vanity Fair Oscar party since 2022. He also operates Funke in Beverly Hills, Mother Wolf in Hollywood, Las Vegas and Miami, and Tre Dita in Chicago. Beyond the pasta, the kitchen is known for its round wood-fired focaccia.
The bar keeps a headed "senza alcol" section of six drinks, and its lead bartender, Henry Terhune, frames the list around Italian drinking custom rather than around abstinence: in Italian drinking culture, he told Resy in January 2026, you typically start with a cocktail to pique your appetite before eating a decadent, carb-filled meal. The drinks are built accordingly, as aperitivo rather than as soft drinks. Monte Rosa is a non-alcoholic amaro cocktail served on the rocks in a Collins glass, layered with house-made ginger beer and lime and garnished with basil. Mare Nostrum is a herbal spritz using Pentire, the English botanical aperitivo, with alyssum and rosemary. Zenzero is the simplest and most direct — freshly juiced ginger with farmers' market pomegranate juice, soda and lemon. Coca-Felix mixes tonic with Seattle's Pathfinder non-alcoholic amaro into something Terhune likens to Chinotto, the classic Italian soda, or as he puts it, something akin to a bitter Coca-Cola. Felix does not publish its menus online, so the list is best confirmed on the night. Dinner runs from 5pm daily, to 9pm on Sundays, 9.30pm midweek and 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
