Botanica is a seasonal, farmers-market-driven restaurant and culinary market on Silver Lake Boulevard, opened in 2017 by Emily Fiffer and Heather Sperling in a remodeled former liquor store. The kitchen leans hard into Southern California produce, sustainable Pacific seafood, and responsibly raised meat with Mediterranean and Mexican influences — The Infatuation jokes that Botanica "proudly shows off vegetables," to the point that "even your tequila cocktail will have beets in it." The drink program centers on a serious natural-wine list, but the seasonal cocktail menu also includes zero-proof options — a non-alcoholic aperitivo and a non-alcoholic distilled botanical spirit among them — alongside house-made tonics and juices. Open Wednesday through Sunday for coffee, brunch, happy hour, and dinner, with an indoor dining room and bar plus covered patios; closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
“Health-conscious, airy and bright (but with a tad bit of grunge), this all-day eatery is essentially Silver Lake incarnate.”— Patricia Kelly Yeo, Time Out Los AngelesTime Out Los Angeles, June 13, 2025 →
