2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207

Centraal Grand Café & Tappery sits on the corner of Kinnickinnic and Lincoln avenues in Bay View, part of Milwaukee's Lowlands Hospitality Group, whose European-style grand cafés are built around world-class beer lists. Inspired by Amsterdam's Centraal Station and the grand cafés that surround it, the room pours from more than 75 taps spanning bier, wine, coffee, craft soda, cocktails and cider, with Dutch touches and homages to the country's cycling culture woven through the artwork and beer list.

The draw for non-drinkers is the venue's standing "Free Spirited" menu of NA cocktails, NA beers and soft drinks — a permanent fixture rather than a seasonal gimmick, which is why it appears on Visit Milwaukee's mocktail trail. Named zero-proof cocktails include the Faux-Fashioned (Kentucky 74, Fee Brothers aromatic bitters, simple, orange and cherry), the Lekker Tropikaal Mule (Undone Not Rum, pomegranate-passionfruit purée, lime and ginger beer), the Spritz in the Sun and a Caramelized Pineapple Margarita, alongside spirit-free sparkling options such as an NA Mimosa and a White Peach Bellini.

On the taproom side, the alcohol-free pours include Athletic Brewing's Cerveza Atlética Copper next to NA Chouffe, Stella Artois Liberté and rotating NA craft options. Because Centraal also serves a full bar, it is a hybrid rather than a fully alcohol-free venue, but the breadth of its standing zero-proof list makes it a dependable stop for sober guests. Located at 2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., it is open daily from 8 a.m., closing at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
