HG Sply Co. sits at the heart of Lower Greenville — one of East Dallas's most walkable and socially mixed stretches — and it is one of the few full-service restaurants in the city that treats its mocktail programme as a genuine part of the drinks menu rather than an afterthought. The 9,000-square-foot rooftop, partly covered and outfitted with misters, firepits and greenery, makes it an unusually comfortable place to spend an evening without alcohol across every season, which matters more than it sounds in a city where the alternative is often a dark bar built entirely around drinking.
The #BeetBetter is the standout non-alcoholic drink: beet, strawberry, lime, turbinado and Topo Chico, a combination that is genuinely complex and drinks like something from a proper bar programme rather than a compromise. The Pina Colorita — coconut water, orange juice, pineapple and lime — is a lighter option, and the HG Mule mocktail swaps spirits for agave, lime and Buddha's Brew ginger kombucha, giving it a fermented bite that most virgin mules lack; the kombucha is the detail worth noting, because fermentation supplies exactly the sourness and depth that a spirit would otherwise carry. Dallasites101 records the menu running to at least three distinct mocktails, and staff are reported to improvise custom zero-proof builds on request.
HG Sply Co. is casual in dress and vibe — cornhole on the rooftop, big screens for game days, and a crowd that skews toward young professionals and neighbourhood regulars. It takes reservations via OpenTable, offers validated parking behind the building, and runs a Monday to Friday happy hour from 3pm to 6pm that includes half-price apps and cocktails. It works equally well for a weeknight dinner, when the rooftop is quieter and there is more table space, or a weekend brunch when it fills early. If parking is a concern, rideshare or the nearby valet on Greenville Avenue is the better call on Friday and Saturday nights.
