Jasher's Organic Tea House

Opened quietly in late November 2025 and named for the owners' young son, Jasher, this Bay View tea house occupies Suite 4 of Joyce Skylight Court at 2680 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. Jack and Rumi DeDecker built the room to feel like a living room rather than a transactional coffee counter, with cozy couches, gentle background music and a shelf full of board games.

The draw is the tea itself: an all-organic lineup of nearly two dozen loose-leaf teas, from Jade Cloud green and Silver Needles white to fermented Pu'er Tuo Cha, plus herbal infusions like Turmeric Ginger Tonic and Vanilla Rooibos. Ceremonial matcha, pour-over coffee and hot cocoa round out the board, and the standout is a traditional masala chai made with black Assam tea, fresh ginger, whole spices and jaggery from Rumi's childhood recipe. Snacks run to fresh coconut-oil popcorn and baked goods from local Rise and Shine Bakery.

Because nothing on the menu contains alcohol, Jasher's is a genuine zero-proof destination, a place to linger over a hot or iced cup without a single intoxicating option in the room. The DeDeckers marked the milestone with a three-day grand opening June 11-13, 2026, featuring tea tastings, live music and giveaways. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
