Maple & Ash arrived in Scottsdale from Chicago as a wood-fired steakhouse with a bar programme large enough to stand on its own, taking a corner of the Camelback Corridor shopping district. The kitchen cooks over live fire and the dining room leans loud, dark and expensive — closer to a night out than a dinner reservation. The bar and lounge run a daily Tower Hour from 4pm to 6pm, which is the practical way into the room without committing to a full steakhouse bill, and Sunday adds a brunch service from 10:30am.

The non-alcoholic drinks are made the way the rest of the bar works: from real alcohol-free spirits rather than fruit juice. The Lavender & Luxury is built on CleanCo non-alcoholic gin with lychee, honey and a foam — a drink with actual texture, which is what usually separates a considered zero-proof list from a sweet one. The Like a Virgin is a spiced, margarita-shaped build. DiningOut Phoenix listed the venue in its May 2026 round-up of metro bars worth visiting specifically for a mocktail.

One point of accuracy belongs on the record. That article describes the zero-proof drinks as sitting under a menu section called "No F@cking Alcohol Please", which would be entirely consistent with the restaurant's house voice — its chef's tasting menu is called "I Don't Give a F*@k" — but the section name does not appear anywhere on the restaurant's own website. It is therefore not stated here as fact. What is verifiable is that the drinks exist, that they are built on a named non-alcoholic spirit, and that a third-party guide singled them out. Two practical notes: this is a steakhouse with a strong bar rather than an alcohol-free venue, and the format assumes a table and a substantial spend, so it is a poor fit for a quick drink and a good one for an occasion where you happen not to be drinking.
