Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. was founded by Hatem Al-Eidaroos and Munif Maweri, who began as wholesalers of Yemeni green coffee before moving into bricks and mortar. The Duluth cafe is run by local business partners Wahaj Imam and Danish Dharani, who took the site at 2645 North Berkeley Lake Road NW in the International Village centre and built out what What Now Atlanta reported in April 2025 would be the largest Qamaria anywhere — about 3,600 square feet with seating for around 140 guests, split between booths, tables and two separate lounge areas, plus a prep kitchen for cakes and baked goods. It opened later that year. The location is deliberate: International Village is one of metro Atlanta's densest concentrations of immigrant-owned business, and the surrounding stretch of Gwinnett County has a large Muslim population for whom a late-night room with no alcohol is not a novelty but the default.

The coffee is 100% Yemeni and is offered in both traditional Yemeni preparation and as espresso, so the same beans appear as a spiced, cardamom-scented infusion or pulled as a shot. Qishr, brewed from coffee husks rather than the bean itself, is on the list, as is Adeni chai, the black-tea-and-spice preparation that has become the category's calling card in the United States. The house Qamaria Latte is served hot or iced, and the wider menu runs to pistachio lattes, matcha, smoothies and fruit refreshers. Food is limited but specific: cakes, pastries and the honeycomb bread — a pull-apart loaf filled with cream cheese and drizzled with honey — that What Now Atlanta singled out. What separates Qamaria from a conventional suburban coffee shop is the clock. Noon to midnight on weeknights and 10am to 1am on Friday and Saturday is bar-hours trading in a room where no alcohol is sold or permitted, and the two lounge areas are laid out for sitting for hours rather than turning tables.
