Tarantula Tiki Lounge

Tarantula Tiki Lounge describes itself as a dark little escape on South Main in Fort Worth: classic tiki, house originals, bold bowls and, in its own words, enough rum to make the outside world irrelevant for a while. It is at 117 South Main Street in the Near Southside, keeps a shop of custom merch and oddities it calls the BouTiki, and takes party reservations except at weekends. 360 West's 2025 guide to the city's zero-proof drinks called it a tropical escape known for its retro island vibes and colourful umbrella drinks, and noted that its booze-free drinks are served in playful glassware.

What sets it apart for non-drinkers is that the zero-proof drinks have their own section of the 2026 menu rather than a line at the bottom. The Designated Diver mixes guava, lemon, lime, strawberry, the house Mai Tai syrup and soda. The Shirley Temple of Doom is lime, coconut, pineapple, orgeat and an exotic tea, and the Virgin Sting Ray brings mango, lemon, orgeat and habanero over non-alcoholic ginger beer. The Final Girl is orange juice, coconut cream, lemon, lime and seltzer; the Baby Aspirin is coconut, orange juice, pineapple and nutmeg; and the Revitalizer is a lighter mix of guava, coconut water and club soda. Cola, lemon-lime, orange soda and ginger ale are on the menu too.

This is a full rum bar whose whole theme is tiki drinking, so it suits someone who is comfortable around alcohol more than someone avoiding it. The zero-proof list is a real one, though: six drinks made with the same fresh juice, orgeat and spice as the rum list. It opens at 4pm from Monday to Thursday and at 2pm from Friday to Sunday, and stays open until 2am every night. The bar's site lists an email address rather than a phone number for bookings and enquiries.
