The Libertine Bar

The Libertine is the kind of bar Lower Greenville is short of these days — a proper neighbourhood pub with a long bar, a decent kitchen and no particular interest in being a destination. Its non-alcoholic list arrives under a printed Mocktails heading, and its most useful quality is that it has stayed put.

When CultureMap surveyed Dallas mocktail programmes in January 2025, it recorded four alcohol-free drinks here, led by the Aper-not Spritz built on Ritual's aperitif alternative with orange juice and sparkling grapefruit. Checking the current menu against that coverage, all four are still being poured: the spritz, a Lavender Bee's Knees, a Cucumber Mint Gimlet and a Shirley De-Luxe, all at a single price. In a category where January lists routinely vanish by spring — this directory found several Dallas venues whose widely-cited mocktails no longer exist — an eighteen-month-old press description that still matches the menu is the strongest evidence of a real programme that we can gather without visiting.

The beer list backs it up with Athletic Brewing's Run Wild IPA and Upside Dawn golden ale plus Sam Adams Just the Haze. With a kitchen running late and doors open to 2am on Friday and Saturday, it works as an ordinary night out rather than an early dinner, which is the harder thing to find without alcohol.
